This scene left me awed. Seeing the monologue, start to finish in one take, and seeing the progression from not-crying to crying, was just so incredibly powerful to me. It still stands out as my favorite scene in the movie.

Dirk Gently is the creation of my idol of an author, who also wrote Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.

Certainly more quirky: but definitely gold from start to finish yet tragically short lived.
