I also just realized (slow on the uptake, so sue me! xp) —

Cas went to all that trouble to make those two sandwiches for the boys, so they wouldn’t be affected by Sucrocorp’s high-fructose corn syrup leviathan poisoning.  He harvested wheat (and then made the bread himself!), tomatoes, lettuce and slaughtered a pig fresh and made it into ham just so that he could make those for them.  D’awww.  ^.^
